Dean C. S. Qualnton stated .o- day that besides organ music, the notes (of a pian6 and vocalist were audible shortly arter v o- ctock last night. No definite, explanation has yet been found of the origin of these strange noises, which several people claimed they have heard coming from the new cathedral. Just over a week ago, it was reported that a full organ recital had been broadcast to the neighborhood from the building. One of the simplest solutions to the mystery yet advanced is that the sounds come from a radio set somewhere in the neighborhood. On a clear night, a good loud speaker would provide enough volume to travel considerable distance and the large structure, acting as a reflector, might make it appear as if the music were coming from the building. There is also the theory that the huge copper roof of the cathedral might in some way act at a radio receiver. ST.
