Reports Say that seven volcanos on the eastern Aleutian Islands and southern coast of the Alaska Peninsula are again spouting flames and spreading dense sulphur smoke in the first general outbreak in that region since 1927. It is believed by marine men to indicate that the Island and coast contours are again being altered. The crew of the steamer Starr arrived here yesterday and reported the volcanos Katmi, Pavlof, Mageik, Kaga-mil, Akutan, Chinagak and Shishaldin are unusually active. The story of ,now 'lie captain and crew of the wrecked halibut boat Seabird fought for their lives against tremendous seas in their crippled craft, how two of their number were lost, and how they finally reached shore and safety at a fox ranch on the shores of western Alaska, is told by Captain Reitan of that vessel, who with Alfred Dyb, Ivan Hon, Martin Carlson and Olaf Evanson, reached here recently. Alfred Dyb was badly injured in the back and was rushed to the hospital at Juneau, the others going south to ' Seattle.
