C. i CHURCH HONORS LEPINE COUPLE Appreciation Expressed For De-Voted Service to Cathedral and Presentations Made Yesterday afternoon in St. An drew's Anglican Cathedral Hall members of the Women's Auxiliary gathered to honor Mr. and Mrs. R. V. C LePine, who are leaving- the city this evening, and may hot return here. Mrs. LePine was presented with a diocesan life membership in the Women's Auxiliary, while the gift of a handsome embossed cigarette box was made to Mr. LePine. The proceedings opened with W. A. prayer led by Bishop G. A. Rix and Mrs. Rlx, diocesan president, conducted the life membership service. Mis. Thomas Andrew, president of the Women's Auxiliary, read an appropriate address and presented the life membership certificate. The gold nfn was presented by Mrs. G. A. Woodland, first vice-president. Mrs. R!x explained that lift; membership was conferred only tpon members in good standing ftjr good and faithful work and levfctiort to the Women's Auxi- ary. Mrs. LePine replied suifetl bly, thanking all the ladies fori he great honor that had been be stowed upon her. She had always njoyed the work, she said, and 'nd tried to do her beet. She ras sorry that she was leaving Vnce Rupert, but would always herish memories of happy work -nd associations here. Should she eturn in the fall, she would be ?lad to again be identified with fhe work of the W. A. Bishop Rix then made the pres entation to Mr. LePine, on behalf if the. congregation.
