Gwyer, district enegineer. addressed the council of the Board of Trade Tuesday evening, reviewing briefly the work done throughout the district during the past year. He said experience had shown that more machinery was needed and he hoped to have more another year. Equipment had been brought from Kit- wanga to speed up the work on the Terrace to Usk highway. Approximately sixty thousand dollars had been spent on that road this year and work would continue as long as weather permitted. There was a reasonable prospect of that part of the road being opened for traffic this fall. He had arranged to have the trail opened up to the hot springs this season but that was all that would done, as the route would prob-r'oly have to be changed before the road was built. J He claimed he could not promise ' much for the Remo road this year, as it was too big an undertaking i 1 or we iinances avauaue. He spoke of the difficulties oi road building generally and told of many requests received by his department, for mont to be spent on trails, which, in many cases, were most unfeasable. On offering to reply to any questions or to receive any suggestions from the board several matters were laid before him for consideration. Mr. Owyer was thanked for his talk and was assured that the board considered the work done this past year w:.s a great Improvement over la.st or any previous year. you get any sudden cut. bruise. burn or such like,. apply a remedy known for its great soothing and antiseptic powers.
