PT Backing Brotherhood Week Here Brotherhood Week, to help promote unity among the dif- t.O'enl mil iiinci lit ioc i ti,a e.m. adian family, will be observed by the Conrad Street School Parent-Teacher Association in February, it was decided by members of the association at their monthly meeting held in Conrad School Tuesday eve-! ning. The program for a special "brotherhood" evening was left ;ln the hands of Mrs. W. Miir- dich and Miss M. Hamilton. The setting-up of a display of oooks and pamphlets pertaining to Parent-Teacher work, ediu Hon and child welfare will bt considered by the P-TA execu tive. Tlie display will be on view at each meeting and all of the books will be accessible to members. Christmas treats at the annual class Christmas parlies held a day or two before school lets out for Christmas holidays j win De provided again for Con- rad School children by the P-TA. The treats will probably inrlude candy canes and Japanese oranges for each child. P-TA project for the year was chasen at Tuesday's meeting. Members hope to be able to purchase a new radio for Conrad Street School so that B.C. school broadcasts and other pertinent programs will be available to classes. A radio is now on hand, but it is not powerful enough. It is planned, therefore, that the present set will be Installed at Seal Cove School when a new-one is purchased. Because the November card party was a great success, plans are under way to again hold these parties one a month. The next one is scheduled for Friday, January 18. The pennant for largest attendance of parents was awarded this month to the Grada 3 and 4 class of Mrs. C. Weise. DANGEKOl'S ROAD A dangerous drop at both sides of the road on Alfred Street, especially near the small Gyro playground there, will be drawn to the attention of the city council. Since instances were cited where children had been hurt in falls there, council will be asked if some safety meas- : ures cannot be taken. Aitennon ot the city council i will also be drawn to th impassable state of Immanuel Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues beside Seal Cove e.-ewwO ,.,wn u ! .. . , . e " ulc roads in ,' winter. , The J steep path gets so bad that anyone usin it has to climb up on his hands and knees, one member reported.
