Captain MacBeath is in charge and is very well kno along the coast in navigation circles. The pilot on the trip no was Capt. Cecil Wearmouth, a brother of Bert Wearmouth who now holds a position on the Pilot Board in Van couver. Many of his old time friends will be glad to hear of hi arrival here. Charlies Williams, surveyor for the imperial Mu nitions Board, is also making the trip and Charies Coughlan o the firm of Coughlan & Sons, the builders of the ship. Rhodes, the engineer of Coughlan & Sons, has also made th trip north and is representing the company on board and watching the progress of the ship. this city, Pai Captain MacBeath reports a very excellent voyage here witi:| an average speed of 10 1-2 knots. The total steaming time wa about 45 hours, but they were held up for 15 hours on account of fog. “The ship handles beautifully, just like a yaoht,” is the skipper’s comment. fn the engine room with Chief Engineer Thomas Cowan in charge everything has gone fine. The “War Company” was built by J. Coughian & Sons of Vancouver and was launched August 24, 1919. This is really her maiden voyage and she will receive her first full cargo at thi port.
