ent time, on our national life;

And whereas, the construction
of a line of railway from the
Groundhog Mountain coal beds to
the existing line of the G. T. P
would involve a line of from 14
miles upwards according to the
point selected as the most feasible
for making connection;

And, whereas, such an under-
taking would bripg a practically

qualily of coal within reach of
all points along the G. T. P. and
through the terminal port of

Prince Rupert with the shipping
of the Pacific Ocean;
The Resolution.

Therefore, be it resolved,
Board of Trade urge upon
Government of Canada that
mediate steps be taken to have
an investigation made on the
cround, of the most feasible route
by which a railway line of stand-
ard gauge may be built to con-
nect the Groundhog Mountain
coal flelds with the existing line
of the G, T. P.
