REVISION trr 4 nn rtrt t t n1 School Board Brines High School . Salary Schedule in Confor mance With Vancouver si- .v, Vancouver. Public school teachers already have a schedule similar to that In Vancouver and the High School teachers thought they should receive the same treatment. Their request was presented in a letter which was read by the principal, D. II. Hartness. After Considerable discussion, their request was met and a yearly increment of $100 and maximum salaries of $3200 for assistants and $4000 for principal providedfor. Mr. Fraser pointed out that, un der the existing schedules, the High School teachers were discriminated against. Grade teachers had been placed on a level with Vancouver while the maximum for High School teachers was $400 below Vancouver. If the proposed schedule were adhered to, it would be difficult to keep teachers here. At present there was a fine staff of teachers in the High School and conditions Si the school -were excellent. He hoped the necessary adjustment ouM be made in the schedule so that the staff might be kept intact. Trustees Thompson and McAfee agreed that it was important that food teachers should be given some ncentive to stay here.
