Alward is New President ; Has Fallen Out With 7 and 9 p.m. PRINCE GEORGE, Jan. 11. 31: The annual meeting of the Prince, George Board of Trade was held! in the city hall, and despite the cold weather the attendance was good. H. B. Guest, the retiring president, submitted one of the best reports that have been listen ed to In several years. In electing officers for the en suing year the board followed the practice of moving the officers up. R. W. Alward. who was first vice- president, became the head of the organization, and second vice- president C. C. Rcid became vice-president. John Mclnnes was elected as second vice-president. J. O. Wilson was re-elected secretary-treasurer, and W. L. Hornsby was named as auditor. The following were elected as members of the council of the board: C. A. Pyne, F. A. Matheson, A. M. Patterson, J. H. Johnson, W. L. Armstrong, John Assman, J. B. Lambert, F. A. Mc-Callum and D. G. Williams. The board decided to donate a prize for competition at the B. O. skl-Jumplng competition at Burns Lake on February II. The proposal of the Automobile Club of B.C., calling upon the fed aral government to co-operate with the provincial government for the completion of trans-continental highway through the Dominion, was endorsed. 1 ne board decided to make an application to the city council for a grant. This grant has been pas sed up by the city for the past two years. A vote of thanks was tendered to J. II. Johnson for the use of .he dining room of the Prince George Hotel for holding of the regular luncheons of the board. J. O.
