The following editorial article from Liberty shows what the condition is in the United States today: "President Hoover inherited the perplexing problem of 'relief legislation. Both major parties, in the presidential campaign, had promised to do something. Various business groups had declared for farm relief as a gesture of good will, without making any very definite suggestions. "Congress got together therefore and enacteaat last a Farm Relief Bill which President Hoover signed on June 15 of last year. "This established 'a Federal Farm board to promote the w- . . win. mining vA ugMVUlkUlUI V.UliliJlUUlklC 111 III- terstate and foreign commerce and to place agriculture on a basis of economic equality with other industries.' "The world price for wheat is fixed at Liverpool, where wheat from all over the world is supposed to meet. The effort of the United States government is to pay its farmers a price higher than the established world price. To do this, it is buying wheat and storing it.
