The creamery, Hon. William Atkinson, minister of agriculture, replied, was established there with government assistance in 1920. Up to August 20, 1928, a total of $15,327.52 had been 'spent by the government in connecUon with the creamery. On March 30. 1929, the government paid Ian $11,698.70 overdraft for the ' creamery, which steadily lost money since its inception. From AprU 1, 1929, to December 31 the same year the plant was operated under an arrangement with P. Burns Co., Ltd., and during the period showed a profit of $875.73, though the butter-fat production was slightly less during that period than in former years.
