His costume, purchased by him when in China, was beautiful. He was chosen as the most fancifully dressed gentleman and was awarded a silver cigarette case. Miss Lillian Christy, as a Spanish Lady, was given first prize as the most fancifully dressed lady, Jier prize being a silver jewel case. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan were dressed in white in the form of icicles and presented their card as Mr. and Mrs. T. Nawadaluk of Point Barrow, Alaska, reindeer exporters. They were awarded the special prize of a silver smoking set awarded for the most original costume. Mrs. H. McKenney, as Aunt Diana in Negress costume with laundry bag, was giveri a silver bonbon dish, awarded for the most comic ladies' costume. Mrs. Abernqtby and Stanley Smith, dressed as a pair of French artists, were given a special prize of a large green frog. Mrs. Wm. Smith, dressed as an escaped convict, was awarded a rubber doll. Is Farewelled Before Leaving On Norway Trip Members of the Varden Choir, Prince Rupert's newest musical organization; gathered yesterday afternoon in the Metropole Hall to bid farewell to I. Fenness, one of their leaders, who is about to leave for a three months' trip to his native home in Norway where he will visit his mother. Refreshments were served and wishes were unanimously expressed' that the trip would be an enjoyable one for Mr. Fenness. Mr. Fenness will sail on the Oa tala tomorrow aftrnopn for Vancouver whence he will proceed to San Francisco where he will embark aboard the steamer Virginia and travel via the Panama Canal to New York. On December 4, he will sail from New York aboard a Hamburg-American Line steamer for Cherbourg, France, and travel from there through Oermany and Sweden to Norway. FALL FAIR AT BELLA COOLA Exhibits Much More Numerous Than Last Year Potatoes and Apples Popular Entries HAQENSBORO, Nov. 3: Exhibits were considerably more numerous than last .year at the second annual fall exhibition which was held here recently by the Bella Coola Farmers' Institute. There were many entries in the vegetable sections, potatoes arid carrots being the most popular. In the fruit class, apples led.
