The matter was mentioned by Miss E. A. Mercer, principal of Booth Memorial School, and also by Miss S. A. Mills, prin cipal of Borden Street School. Miss Mercer asked particularly for books for Grades 1 and II, which were badly in need of reading material. This was the mini mum requirement, Miss Mercer said. Mrs. T. M. Spencer, chairman, thought that, since the books were prescribed, it was up to the board to secure them. The matter will be further gone into today when the school trustees get together to Inspect the various school buildings.
