Large Officer and Small Men A rather ludicrous scene occurred Tuesday njfht on Third Avenue much to the amusement of ptusers-by. Two snail men, one about five feet in height and the other possibly three inches shorter, having imbibed nf the wine when It was red, were inclined to become quarrelsome, to much so that police intervention was necessitated. Who should take the matter in hand but Constable O. C. Sharpe, six-foot-six Jack Dempeey of the provincial police force1 The funny scene was when the burly officer grasped one quarrelsome little man in either mighty hand and virtually carried them off like six-year old school kids to tk? police station. H. Carson but took no action pending a proposition being submitted by doctors of the city who are to have a meeting to go into the question. Mention was made of an Interview with Dr. J. P. Cade, medical health officer, on the matter. Dr. Cade had pointed out that medical hearth inspection in the schools must he carried out just at that time of the day when other professional demands must be taken care of by the doctor. As a matter of fact, none of the doctors were very anxious to undertake the work but it was possible that on the basis of 50c for each pupil examined something might be done. Dr. Cade had promised to get the docotors together to ko into tiie ma'itcr. There was some talk of a school nurse but the board felt that it could - hardly afford to employ a full time nurse.
