Smith, a newspaperman from the Ketchikan Al-laska Chronicle, all of whom have been engaged for several days In searching for the lost plane, it was decided that Renahan probably tried to land in the dark somewhere near Lewis Island and that plane and everything sank. He was last seen near Lewis Island, about twenty miles south of Prince Rupert.
