Only recently the matter of an air service was suggested by
J. F. Maguire but the commiitee of the Board to whom rt was
referred after inquiry, conclusion that it was not at
present feasible, and the subject was dropped. it crops up
again and will continue to be a live subject until such a route ts
established. It is probable, however, that before it can be put
on a sound commercial basis it will have to be taken in hand by
the Railway Company and run as part of that system. It would
be a great thing to be able to offer tourists to the coast a choice
of routes after arriving at Prince Rupert. To fly over the islands
and inlets would induce hundreds to come this way instead of
taking the G P. R. It should not be long before the air route
from here to Vancouver is the most popular there is.
