Motte, who delivered a stirring sermon, taking as his subject "The Parable of the Pounds." He declared that the churches had been organize to give effect to the Lord's teaching in this parable. India, China, Korea and Trinidad. One million boys and girls were receiving religious training in Sunday Schools. Rescue homes were being operated at Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Mon treal and in the Maritlmes. The field , lor the church's work, Mr. Motte pointed out, was the world buji he laid, emphasis ' on Christ's commission to begin in Jerusalem. The origin of the home base in church work was of utmost importance and all depended upon its success. Rupert East, in point of ntimbers, might be likened to Jeru-;alem, the pastor declared. He out-'incd the work that was planned for "he coming winter and made a ;trong appeal for strengthening ?very branch of the church's work. The sermon was well received. DIZZINESS Caused by Blood pressure Doctor ordered Kruschcn " Five years ugo Ihta tniiith I lmd "a serious attack bf LIh1 prrotiure, luid ' my medical mun ordered me to lake Kruschcn Salts daily. IvvMcnlly I am a stubborn subject, because I use every morning a smnll tnuimonful and a half in a glass of hot water, and this acts splendidly and keeps my head right. If I don't have the action, mentioned, I feel cold, stupid und liable to fall from dizziness. Therefore I can't do without my Kruschcn on any account.' Some time ago I tried some other salts which were cheaper, but they pained me so much' that I had to stop them. There is no pain with Knisrhm. I have told hundreds of my little wonder-working bottle." (E. d Fergusaon.) Dizziness is a symptom of a deeper-seated disorder. It is one of Nature's danger signals- her urgent warning of an impure blood-stream which, if not attended to in time, may wrtvJ; the entire health, with some dangerous, indeed lifelong, disease. The six salts in Kruschcn keep the blood-stream pure and vigorous by ensuring the complete elimination of poisonous waste matter from the system every day. Declares Peace River .Pass Is Prepared By Nature For Highway Compared With Any Other Route. ' (Continued from page one) Vancouver and the south, by way it the Fraser River, Prince George uid Vanderhoof. And it has been suggested very tncertolnly, we hope that we shall renounce this heritage of .vealth of beauty, th'at a tourist from Grande Prairie or Pouce Joupe or beyond should skirt the .dge of our wheat fields, and derived of even a glimpse of the ;lorles of the Peace, like a hunted 'tilng should rush Into the swamps. he sliding banks and the snows of he Pine Pass. A certain engineer, eturnlng from our district with a nass of hastily-collected information, has granted a widely published ntervlew. tils ethics we pass tiWtt ve question statement and lnf'et- First let lis consider the purpose if a highway. It cannot take the ;raln trade' from a railway. It can narket meats and dairy products; but our prospective home market for these lies west and not south. It will promote the speedy, and, we hope, the enjoyable, movement of people, chiefly tourists, into ' ' iirid Jirough this district, with reaultmg nutual human benefits. ,,t With this in view, the sllgh'tiy greater mileage by the Peace Pass constitutes an awct, since each mile of the way has scenic or development value. It is misleading, however, to regard the entire route from Tort St. John through Hudson Hope, where settlement to almost continuous, as added to the highway outlet. This mall route, kept ipen with little help for many: years by the settlers, mutt in all fairness be re-located and reconditioned in any case. This Is also true of the road now passable to Jim Beattlc's at Gold Bar. An actual gap to link It with Flnlay Forks Is thus reduced to 70 miles. The G5 miles stated as the distance from Palmer's Crossing by Pine Pass to Da'vie Lake Is quite erroneous, and Is surely a mls-quoU-tlon. Authentic maps give an airline nearly twice this, and a land route at least 165. The ripened Judgment of our older men supports us. Nell Qeth-lng, well known both here and through the province, says: "The Pine Is only a creek compared with the Peace, and Is in the grip of heavy snow to June. Peace River Pass, with Its' low grade and freedom from deep snow Is the cheapest and best route for a highway. The canyon, with its dinosaur and forest fossils, and great coal seams, is one of B. C.'s greatest tourist attractions." It Is deeply felt, that with pressing settlement needs, with the roads which railway building may necessitate In the northwest of the district and towards Moberly Lake, the Peace River Highway should be aligned with our progress as to be least expensive and most valuable through the years. One route only will satisfy this demand, the Peace River Pass.
