On acount of the fast depletion of the salmon, it is felt by many that Islanders before long may have to turn from fishings trapping as a means of livelihood- If fur bearers were placed on thetisiands, it would not be long befort there would be sufficient numbers to permit of trapping. There is no place more adapted for such animals than the islands, It is said. . Not so very long ago, the Game Board placed a few deer on the islands. Now there are said to be hundreds if not thousands of them thriving here. Mongolian pheasants, which were placed here by private interests, are now virtually a pest. Rabbits, however, for some unknown reason, do not seem to thrive cn the islands. Economy Specials OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THESE PRICKS WHILE THEY LAST.
