Particular stress is laid on the roads from Burns Lake to Francois Lake, from Vanderhoof to Fort St. James, from Prince George to Vanderhoof and from Vanderhoof to Fort Fraser. Drainage at High School .Matter to Be Further Investigated By Board of Works of City Council The Board of Works of the city council was asked by the council at its meeting last night to again JbOk into the question of drainage of the High School grounds with a view to having the nuisance abated. The city engineer reported that the ground on which the school was built was low-lying and was the natural watercourse for the adjoining property. Under those circumstances It was the duty of the school board to keep the water course open just as any other property owner would have to do. Alderman Collar t said that as It was evidently work for the school-board the board should attend to It. After some further discussion It was decided to refer It to the board of works to satisfy Itself as to what should be done and to take such action as should be necessary.
