RELIEF CHANGE Prince George has decided to make a change in the plan of granting relief. Every man, before being given relief, will be required to do voj;k on one of the parks equal to the amount of relief given him. This will help improve the park and it is claimed will be better for the men than hanging around doing nothing all day. COSTLY EXPERIMENT The Manitoba government lost three million dollars from backing the wheat pool in its effort to keep up the price of wheat. Other prairie provinces will also show considerable loss, the whole possibly amounting to as much as ten million dollars.
