CONTROVERSY AT ALICE ARM Question of Where Relief Money Should lie Spent Results in Much Discussion Recent visitors to Alice Arm discovered that a keen controversy was taking place In regard to how the relief money should be spent In that community. The group controlling the expenditures were successful in arranging for the money to be spent on the commencement of the road to the Upper Naas River country while most of the miners were clamoring- to have it spent on the building of a road up the Kit-s&ult River where most of the mining properties are located. The matter was brought up at the meeting of the Alice Arm branch of the Chamber of Mines when the visitors were there but was not dis cussed at any length. It seemed to be the most discussed subject in the camp, some going so far as to say that 85r; of the people wanted the mining road.
