'0 CANADA' Strambcrr, Once Located Here, Is Composer The following verson of "O Can ada" has been composed by Hector M. Stramberg, veteran school teacher of this province, who was located In Prince Rupert some fifteen years ago as a representative of European financial Interests: Dear Canada! Our land of peerless worth. The pride and glory of the spacious north, .With fervent hearts we .sing thy praise, I In songs of loyalty! May God most high by thy defence And shape thy destiny! 10 glorious realm of liberty! The Hosts of Heaven and Earth are i calling thee. To lead the world to peace and j amity! Great northern land, whose moun-j tains crown'd with snow. In grandeur, look on'" meadows green below, Kind Heaven has blessed thy wide domain, With valley, hill and plain . A changing scene of vast extent, I From East to Western main! Fair land of peace and harmony! Thy role on earth Is fixed by Heaven's decree, To lead the world In peaee and amity. Dear Canada I With loyal hearts we sing: i God prosper thee; long live our gracious King! His Empire aid, should foes assail, Till flags of war are furl'd, And endless peace and right prevail O'er all this new-born world! O Lord of Heaven, of Earth and Seal Without Thy help, vain would our efforts be, To lead the world In peace and amity. ANNOUNCEMENTS -i- Baptist Supper. Jartuary 29. Moose Legion January 30.
