The Young Tcoplc's Society of the First United Church held their annual banquet last evening in the church parlors with 43 young people present. Rev A. Wilson acted as chairman and after a delicious supper was partaken of. presented, on behalf of the Young People's Society, a pen ! and pencil set to President Earl Barrie, who is leaving shortly tt take up residence in Toronto. Mr Wilson in a few words expressed the regret of all present In losing so valuable a member. Mr. Barrie responded suitably. Piano solos were given by Miss E. P. Orasse and community singing was enjoyed, following which the business of the evening commenced with the election of officers. Those elected to office were: I Honorary President. Rev. A. Wilton.
