FINE TIME AT LAKELSE Local Boy Scouts Having: Wonderful Outing at Interior LAKELSE LAKE, Aug. 10: The Third Prince Rupert Troop of Boy Scouts, under Scoutmaster P. C. Miller, Is having a wonderful time at Lakelsc Lake where the boys are encamped. After arrival at Terrace, a week ago Saturday evening, the boys spent Sunday quietly. At the Invitation of H. Swain, they were taken for a very enjoyable drive In the afternoon. On Monday the boys proceeded to the lake and selected a camp site after which they were very busy putting up tents and generally getting the camp In shape. Tuesday was spent In further Im proving the campsite and swimming and boating were also enjoyed. The hatchery fish traps have been visited by most of the boys. Camp-fires have been lit in the evening. Baseball has been played and plenty of swimming and boating enjoyed. Since the boys came into camp. weather has been Ideal and there have been but few mosquitoes. The boys are looking forward this week to being taken through the hatchery. Several good turns have been done by members of the troop since coming here such as carrying campers baggage, clearing a quarter of a mile of roadway, pulling stumps, etc. for other campers hereabouts. They also helped to move a small shack from one location and another. The Scouts are sleeping In two large tents, the six boys In each being under a patrol leader. They cook and eat In the open. Steamer to be Here Next Week in Course of Special . British Columbia and , Alaska Cruise ' Next week the popular CP.lt steamer Princess Alice, In com mand of Capt. S. K. Gray, will b withdrawn U-mporarily from th-' regular Alaska service to make a special cruise of thirteen days duration in British Columbia and Alaska coast waters. The vessel has already been booked up with a capacity list of over two hundred passengers for the cruise. Leaving Vancouver early Tuesday evening next week, the ss. Princess Alice will cruise up Burke Channel past Bella Coola and make its first stop at Ocean Falli It will then come on here and ; due to arrive in Prince Rupert at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon , lea vine at 11 o'clock that evening for Ketchikan! After the stop at; Ketchikan, the ship will cruise; through Behm Channel, which is the body of tyater back of Revilli Glgedo Island, on which Ketchikan Is located, then proceeding to Tak,; River Glacier, ' Juneau and Skag- way. After a stay of considerable length at Slcagway, the vessel wll! turn south again and will make calls at Sitka. Wrangell. Ketchikan Stewart and Anyox. 'Spirit' Subject Science Lesson Sermon Sunday The subtect of the lesson-sermon in all Christian Science churches and societies on Sunday was "Spirit." Among the Bible texts Included in the lesson-sermon was the following from Matthew 6:7, 8: "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do; for they think that they shall bo heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them; for your Father know-eth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." The lesson-sermon also included the reading of citations from the Christian Science textbook, "Scl ence and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy, one passage being as follows: "The Father In secret is unseen to the physical senses, but He knows all things and rewards according to motives, not according to speech."
