We have before urged that Canada should have a series of powerful stations, one of which might very well be established at Prince .Rupert, if not now, at any rate in the near futurfe. Probably it would be better both for Prince Rupert and. the district to be content for the time being with a largo station at Vancouver with sufficient power to insure good reception in Northern and Central British Columbia. SALVATION ARMY APPEAL An appeal is being made by the Salvation Armv for money to be used in entertaining the unemployed on Christmas Day and to provide hampers for those families who are in need. There never has been a time in Prince Rupert when the! assistance of the Salvation Army was needed as it is this! year. There will be a great many who will need help and) Prince Rupert people will undoubtedly do their part to) see that they are properly cared for. We commend this to I tne people ot the city and district and ask that they res pond liberally to the appeal being made.
