There were also a number other routine matters taken .up. Aid. S. D. Macdonald, the president, !was In the chair and there-was a good sized attendance of delesates.- The question of employment for the young and unmarried men of the city was discussed at the meeting. It was said, In discussing th preference given to rriarrled men that the position of the single man should hot be lost sight of. He must live. There were plenty of men here, without wives and faml-jlles, who, nevertheless, have their .obligations, and who, though they 'did their utmost to get work, could not find It. The meeting fell that this problem should be approached along the line of co-operation between representative, organizations, and. About two hundred per sons were present at the entertain ment which Included a program of speeches and music as well as a two act playlet, "Home to Norway," which was very acceptable. Taking part In the playlet were Mrs. Chris Jensen, directing, Mrs. John Btor-seth, Mrs. Anton Dybhavn, Mrs. Sigurd Anderson and Mrs. Tom Dybhavn. Oscar Haveroy was chairman for the program and master of ceremonies for the "dance. After the program, dancing was enjoyed with music by the Premier Orchestra.
