Linzey as to the progress of the work, City Engineer P. N. Good stated at the meeting of the city council last night that the standard of efficiency among relief crews on the Eleventh Avenue grading work had been much higher than had been anticipated. The work was running below estimates as far as cost was concerned and it was expected to complete It with, a good balance to spare. The city was getting practically a dollar's work for a dollar's pay from the relief crews, the work being nearly as efficient as with regular crews, the engineer declared.
