A IMF! ; Defeated 43 to 25 By Terrace in Basketball Match j . r., , t TERRACE, March 23: Before a packed house last Thursday night, i , the, local senior basketball team de-' feated the Port Esslngton Wildcats 43-25, in a. last and exciting game The local sharpshooters were in fine shooting form, which, coupled with a brilliant Dissine attack hart the visitors outclassed throughout. The Wildcats showed ability to work -the ball up the floor, but lack ed the nnUh under the basket shown by Terrace. The teams battled evenly through the early stages of the game, the score at one time being 16-13 for Terrace. By half time this had been increased to 20-13. The locals started the second period with .a rush and ran up a comfortable margin which they maintained till the end. Terrace used the same five men right through while Esslngton ma'de ,pne change near the finish. For the Wildcats Lockerby at centre and Spalding at forward looked best. Starr, their usual scoring ace, was able to get only one basket, being ably held in check by Mlchiel, who turned in a great game at defense for Terrace.
