So don’t, under any circumstances, neglect a cold, in its early stages a cold yields quickly to proper treatment, Grip Fix, a com- bination of the drugs which relieves the System in such cases, gives remarkable re- sults. STREET PAVING IS BEFORE COMMITTEE Report of Board of Trade Read Last Night at Council Meeting. At the City Council meeting last night the report of the Board of Trade regarding the paving of the streets in the business section was read and referred to the Board of Works for neport. There was a suggestion from Alderman MeRae that it might be filed without being read, the in- fore the public for ind discussion, Thé following amendments lI, 1. That a legal distinction made between the terms “onde! and ‘“‘preseription,” and that the vord “preseription” be used in its rdimary medical acceptance, 2. That the issuing of orders for liquor be taken out of the hands of the medical profession. Domestic Use. 3. That liquor for domestic use available’ under the follow- ng conditions, viz—The presen- tation to the vendor of an order obtained from, and signed by the prohibition commissioner, and countersigned by either a justice f the peace or by a clergyman certifying that the purchaser is if a good moral character and does not become intoxicated. The maximum amount that can be purchased per month by such person to be fixed by statute. 4. That the prescribing of liquor by physicians be limited to bona lide prescriptions, stating definite- iy the amount and conditions un- der which such liquor is to be taken, such prescriptions to be filled by any licensed druggist, and not to be refilled without the consent of the physician. there are still many physicians of excellent standing who conscientiously administer alcoholics, the privelege of the alcoholic prescriptron should be eranted, and upon the other hand it is not just that the gneat mass of the profession who are honest- ly endeavoring to comply with the spirit of the Act be deprived of the privuedge of using any drug a few abuse that privil- D>.
