Honest- ly it tickled me so much I turned around and told old Jupe about it. He told me that all the points were worn off that chestnut and to kindly give him something new as you people had been getting worked up over that same thing away back before Venus got in that G. T. P. R. (Great Trans- Planetic Railway) accident and lost her arm. Even if the world did get pushed out of the universe it would serve you mortals right for pulling that joke about me getting full on my last quarter. The joke’s on you and I'll tell you why. You remember the cow that jumped over me on one occasion. Well, she tried again later and got stuck up here, so now I take my liquid refreshment the Milky Way. After be- ing away from the prairies for some time the sight of the sea is welcome because the ocean 80 much reminds one of the prair- ies." And the Ruperterror was heard to respond that yes he had heard of the rolling prairie and of course the old sea dogs would take the place of the prairie dogs. “SCARLET PIMPERNEL” AT THE WESTHOLME Great Story of Fair Women and Brave Men in Time of Trouble Associated with Name of Wayside Flower. Full of excitement and thrills as~is the novel upon which the photoplay is founded, “The Scar- let Pimpernel” to be shown at the Westholme Theatre tonight, is sure to satisfy the most critical. The story itself is most interest- ing and brought fame to its writ- er, the Baroness Orezy. It tells of how some of the gentlemen of the south of England used to slip across to France during the time of the French Terror and assist in the escape of the French refu- gees. How they were able to get in and out of France, notwith- standing the strict watch kept, and how their ,daring and re- sourcefulness in the face of ex- treme danger met its reward are thrilling shown on the sereen. Those who have read the novel will delight in the photoplay, and those who have not alneady will want to get the book.
