Van Ricksdal Addressed Chamber of Commerce at Gathering Last Night While Belgium is a small country, its area being only 12,000 square miles, It has eight million inhabi tants and its exports to Canada are very large, ranking next to Great Britain, according to J. Van Ricks dal, consul-general for Belgium, who addressed the Chamber of Commerce last night, President B, J. Mellish in the chair. While the exports into Canada are large, the exports from Canada to Belgium are twice as large, for that little coun try Is a very good customer, using grain, canned salmon, lumber and jiany other products. Practically all the glass used In Canada comes from Belgium, Mr. Van Ricksdal stated. Also the ra dium comes from the same country, it being found in the Congo' and manufactured In Belgium.
