Despite the depression, New Ha-zclton had a very successful Victoria Day celebration last Tuesday there being a large fathering of people in town from many parts of , the district. The feature of the sports program was a baseball game between New Hazelton and the Snappy Nine of Smlthers which the home team won by a score of 8 to 5. In the evening a splendid dance was held in the Community Jlall to bring the day's proceedings to a fitting conclusion.
