March 3, 1932 QUESTION FOR CHAMHEK One matter likely to come before the Chamber of Commerce at its meeting Friday night is that of pulpwood export. At a previous meeting the chamber went on record as being in favor of a move to secure from the government at Victoria the right to ship corclwood for pulp purposes from lands leased from the Crown in Northern British Columbia. It is argued that the wood is going to waste and cannot be used for any other purpose, that it Would help the local unemployed situation, would be an advantage to the small ranchers who wish to clear up their land and as an emergency measure could do no possible harm. As it would be only for a limited period and would be carried on under restrictions it could not injure any present or prospective pulp business. Opposing this pulpwood export are the backers of the pulp mill organization thais trying to finance a local mill and who claim that if the right to ship pulpwood to United States is granted it will interfere with the financing of the proposed local concern. The northern members of the Legislature bad been asked to support the export measure before the opposition to You, too, can have a Beautiful Skin If you go about it the right way -I had Win enjptionstht mad me ashamed.
