The picture tells a vivid story of romance and father love for a vacillating son with a mysterious murder for a background. The boy, a much pampered weakling, has been victimized by an alluring siren and, when she attempts to throw hlrrl over, he be -tomes enraged and chokes her Into insensibility. Leaving her for dead, he goc3 home and, in a panic of fear, confesses his supposed murder to his mother, father and reui sweetheart. The father, to protect the son, assumes blame for the crime and permits himself to be arrested for murder. Ensuing scenes are taken in the courtroorA of Old Bailey and show the remarkable speed with which British Justice works. Lionel Atwell enacts the role of he father which he played in the original Broadway production. The son is impersonated by Bramwell Fletcher, the siren by Oreta NUsen and the sweetheart by Helen Mack It is an excellent and intriguing melodrama. ay. u..
