sources.
In
view
of
the
present
condition
under
which
Canadians
are
penalized
when
buying
in
the
U
S.
markets
it
is
natural
that
attention
should
be
turned
to
Canadian
sources
of
supply.
Alberta
has
for
several
years
been
trying
to
break
into
the
Ontario
market
but
the
long
rail
haul
is
too
expensive
for
a
rather
low
grade
coaL
;
British
Columbia
has
plenty
of
coal
and
could
well
supply
the
eastern
market,
the
product
being
shipped
by
way
j
of
the
Panama
Canal.
In
the
groundhog
country
there
is
said
to
be
an
unlimited
supply
of
anthracite
coal
of
the
best
quality
which
could
be
produced
and
delivered
to
Montreal
by
way
of
Prince
Rupert
or
Stewart
at
a
price
that
would
command
a
market
but
a
large
amount
of
capital
is
necessary
to
open
the
mines
and
put
in
the
necessary
