PAGE BIX THB DAILY NEWS BUTTON CONTEST RESULT WALLACE'S DISSOLUTION We have much pleasure in announcing the winner in our button contest which ended Saturday night. On checking over the numerous estimates of the number of buttons in the jar, some were fantastic guesses, Ifut the majority were reasonable, and showed that some thought had been exercised. We found that six entrants had omitted to estimate at all, while thirteen were under one hundred, the lowest being twelve, while twenty-three ranged from 9000 up, the highest being 60,000. One card bore the name of a famous Hollywood lady, though we are inclined to believe, the lady must have a name-sake here. If this is not the case, we have to admit that Prince Rupert advertising has far-reaching effects, the lady referred to being no less a celebrity than Gloria Swanson. The number of buttons in the jar was 2156, and the nearest estimate was made by Sirs. J. W. Lancaster, with 2175, being only 19 out, the second nearest was 2131, only 22 out. We shall have much pleasure in presenting the prize to the winner, and heartily congratulate her on her success. We are continuing the sale for' a few more days. The final windup will be announ-v ced at an early date. The scaled envelope containing the number of buttons in the jar was opened by C. G.
