W. K. Owyer, district engineer here for the past three years for the provincial department of mblic works, has been advised of his transfer from Prince Rupert to Pouce Coupe where he will assume the duties of public works engineer for the Peace River Block. Accompanied by his wife, Mr. Owyer will be leaving here about March 7 for Pouce Coupe where he will make his headquarters. The transfer cornea under a general departmental reorganisation. Mr. Gwyer ls now senior district engineer in the province. During his stay here, Mr. Gwyer has become known as an efficient and popular official of the government. Through his Instrumentality much has been accomplished on the Skeena River Highway. Numerous friends and acquaintances will regret his departure. Mr. Owyer's successor here will ba J.
