In the High School Softball League Friday afternoon the Giants defeated the Pirates 3 to 2. The game was close ail the way through. In the lost of the fourth, the Giants had a hitting streak and drove in two runs, taking the lead which they kept till the end of th game. DELIGHTFUL PARTY HELD Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant Give Home For Badminton Dance Last Night A very delightful party was held last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant when the Prince Rupert Badminton Club held a dance to round off the winter badminton season. About thlrty-slx members and friends were present. George Mitchell acted as master of ceremonies and the music was supplied by C P. Balagno and J. Arseneau. At 'midnight refreshments were served under the supervision of Mrs. Bryant, Miss J. Grieve, Miss J. Mof-fatt and Miss L. Halliwell. During the supped Interval, Eric Gee, the president of the club, took the opportunity of thanking the ladies of the club for having made It possible to keep the club going until the end of the season. He also called for a vote of thanks to be given Mr. and Mrs. Bryant for putting their home at the disposal of the club for this evening's entertainment. This was heartily responded to. Mr. Gee then presented the prizes to the winners In the recent club tournament. The prizes were two sliver trophy cups and three small silver shields mounted on satin walnut, all suitably engraved. The shields went to Mrs. Bryant-Miss Amelia Plllsbury and Oeorge Mitchell as winners of "one event each.
