Any Improvement that to being lelt In Prince Oeorge so far Is the result of mining activity In the Cariboo and Omlneca. Numbers of Prince Oeorge people have gone into these areas and. If they earn any thing, will return and ' spend the money. A certain amount of business comes from the mines to the city bilt nothing like as much as might. if they were treated fairly. Everywhere the complaint is made that there is discrimination, against Prince Oeorge. Money expended on the roads is south of Qvesnel and the highway north of that for some distance Is In such a condition that Is almost Impossible to drive over It. Complaint Is also made that the Quesnel people advise tourists and others not to go beyond their district because of the condition of the roads. Dozens, if not hundreds, of cars have been turned back and Prince Oeorge has suffered accordingly. Hundreds of dollars would have been distributed through the country all the way to Haselton had a few mud holes Just north ot Quesnel been filled up. i However, abuses of this kind tend to cure themselves and usually discrimination acts as a boomerang Prince Oeorge will make progress1 because no one can stop It.
