There they will be fed and clothed and given twenty cents a day for For two yeans no work has been done on the highway east of here yet the men have been idle. T. D. Pattullo, when he wafr in Prince Rupert, .promised: to see that work on the highway was continued and the men paid wages for their work. That irf what they want That is what Prince Rupert wants. To insure that this. polioy is carried out, the safe thing to do is to support British Columbia's next premier. TELLS VICTORIA ABOUT RUPERT In an address in the Royal Victoria Theatre at the last week from which thousands were turned, away because the large building was too small to accommodate them, T. D. Pattullo told the people of that city of the inj equalities in Prince Rupert under which the fishermen, suffered. He told how; they fished side by side with American fishermen and then had to sell their product for less because of the tariff against them in the United States. He promised that if returned with a sufficient support in the legislature it would be his business to make representations with a view to rectifying these inequalities. T. D. Pattullo.as premier of the province will! have more- influence than he ever had in the past and if he can seourei relief for the fishermen in this respect it will mean more to Prince Rupert than anything done by any member in the past. No other candidate would be able to rectify the situation because no other candidate would be in a sufficiently prominent position to have any influence at Ottawa or Washington or elsewhere.
