It should be just as simple a matter as electing officers for a chamber of commerce. In view of the great importance to the whole province of making the right choice just now, we strongly urge that the whole question be discussed and studied free from all former political bias and ties with a view to serving the province as a whole and Prince Rupert in particular. Imagine what would happen if T. D. Pattullo were defeated in Prince Rupert and given a majority of followers in the remainder of the province ! He would be given a seat elsewhere and we should again find ourselves in the posi-tioh in which we have been so often. We have nothing against Mr. Rudderham. He was a good alderman and, under ordinary conditions, might mane a good member. Today we have an extraordinary situation and extraordinary means are necessary to bring back prosperity by placing the buying power back in the hands of the people and ridding the province of unemployment and the dole. We must once more set about developing self-respecting citizens. A leader with a definite constructive policy is necessary to bring this about. Pattullo is undoubtedly the strong outstanding man and it is up to Prince Rupert to do its part in rehabilitation by electing him.
