In spite of Mr. Bennett's statement that there was no, present need for an election, a great many people think an appeal will be made to the country soon, possibly before the session is over. No one can tell what is in Mr. Bennett's mind or what influences may be brought to bear to cause him, to change it. In view of the general situation we do riot think the election will take place this year, but it may be sprung at almost any time. The renewed opposition ac tivity indicates that they expect something to happen soon. CHURCH NOTICES A, FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH Minister, Rev. W. D. Grant Jlollingwortu, BA. Organist: Mrs. C I. Kiipatrick, Mrs. Arthur Sutton, Naturally the administration will do its best to imnrove M,ss Caroline Mitchell and Miss conditions' within the next year. We believe Mr. Bennett Mar? will do the best he knows, irrespective of his desire lor a return to power. The added incentive will help pep up his followers but whether they will take effective means to bring about better conditions through work and wages remains to be seen. We honestly hope that the Prime Minister will become so active in reconstruction that the people of the country will acclaim him and there will be no need for a change.
