Amongst them is her electric lighting system from storage batteries. Another in- teresting point is her all brass windlass which is just being fitted now. This windlass is worth $50 and is especially intersting because it comes from Prince Rupert’s first working brass foun- dry, that run by Mr. A. Rees near Hays Creek. Water tanks to hold 80 gallons will be fitted, and also a compressed air siren. The Nimrod will carry two anchors a 100 Ib. one as a storm standby r ‘Best Bower,” and a 50 Ib.one. A mast and about 75 yards of canvas go with her. Class of Work As a carrying boat the Nimrod will excel. She could carry forty passengers if need be, but for a cruise can accommodate eleven comfortably. Inside her house will be partitioned conveniently, and her galley is fitted with a good stove. Lockers, etc., for stores are cleverly contrived by Messrs. McLaren and Davidson the builders. Mr. Mclaren is an experienced boat builder from Rock port and Camden, Maine. He has built many power boats. The design of the Nimrod makes her convenient inside, and easy to handle. From the wheel forward both engines can be easily managed easily. The Nimrod was launched from the old slaughter house at Hays Creek and will soon be available for pleasure or business parties in charge of her builders who are preparing to lay down other boats later.
