On July 22 Frederick James Lynn. aged 23, who lived on a homestead at Cecil Lake with his father, was reported missing. On July 31 his body was found In Beaton River a mile and a half from Mlchelson's Bridge. He had, apparently, fallen in the river and death was pronounced due to drowning. The other drowning victim was Anderson Andres, 63-year old Swed ish farmer, whose low-lying home stead on the Pine River 95 miles from Dawson Creek was flooded when the river overflower Its bank. Andres was, apparently, trapped when trying to escaoe from the flood waters. An inquest was held and a verdict of accidental drown lng was returned. H. W. Butler, Government Tele graphs operator at Aiyansh, and Mrs. Butler, who have been spend ing a few days In the city, sailed on the Catala this afternoon for a two weeks' trip to Vancouver in the course of a vacation. In one day alone the party caught 320 trout and two bears were also shot. A pair of cubs were captured one of which was sent to the Century of Progress Exposition at Chicago. Deepsea fishing members of the party hooked two porpoises. They also saw two whales but that was getting In a little too big a class for the angling equipment carried on the Caroline.
