No half way or partial mea-j sures will do. In a statement issued (from the station, boat owners arc advised not to disinfect until they ;are ready to leave for the fishing grounds. After unloading fish, the hold and deck should be washed and scrubbed with tap or clean sea water. It should be seen that the ceiling and sides and pen boards as well as the floor of the pens are clean. All water should be pumped from the bilge. The vessel is then I ready for disinfection at the disinfecting station. The celling, sides. floor and both sides of the pen boards in the fish hold should be sprayed and the same done in the bait hold. The deck should also be sprayed as well as all cracks and corners. The Ice then should be loaded Immediately. If this cannot be done the hold should be closed. After the ice Is loaded it should be sprayed with disinfectant and the hold closed. After fishing has commenced, the bilge should be disinfected with one pint of for? malln every night, after water has been pumped out. The Importance of this is emphasized. Boats should be disinfected after every trip. The disinfectant used is formalin, Hi gallons to twenty gallons of water.
