Makes Move to Help Mar keting of Vegetables and Potatoes The Canadian National Railwavs have etabllshed a new tariff on I. c. 1., shipments of vegetables and potatoes from the! interior to Pflftee Rupert redaciftg the old rhte by one-quarter to one-third. For Instance, the new rate from iSmithers to Rupert on vegetables and potatoes per 100 pounds is 44c and 35c respectively as against the former rates of 75c and 56c. It is hoped also that further concessions will be granted commencing next fall and permitting individual shipments of produce on the regular trains at the low rate. Tills is the only possible solution allowing a regular and fresh supply of produce to arrive 'through the week and Is essential if there Is to be any hope of competing with southern produce. S. K.
