W. W. C. O'Neill, B-A. Vice-President, Miss Margaret Shlcll. Secretary-Treasurer, J. 8. Wilson. Executive Miss M. A. Mercer, Mrs. B. Walker and Miss Joyce Edg-cumbc. In a brief resume of the year's acUvlties. Mr. Wilson, who retired from the chair after seven years' service as president, referred to the important position the B. C. Teach ers' Federation held in provincial affairs. The general secretary. Harry Charlesworth. was chairman of the educational survey being held at present at the Instance of the minister of education, Hon. Dr. J. M. Weir. This was evidence of th value placed on the work and ca-j pablilty of the federation secretary by the provincial authorities, his value being already recognized by the Canadian Teachers' Federation and by the World Council of Edu-: cation. Locally tho branch had had a successful year. Resolutions from the branch had been endorsed by the provincial convention and the Interest of the teachers In maintaining the high standard of education In the city was shown by their support of the association. A hearty vote ol thanks was accorded the reUring president for his whole-hearted interest and leadership during his tenure of office. Tentative plans for the year's activities were considered, the subject for the next meeting being: "Some Problems In Education," the discussion to be(lcd by Mr. Wilson.
