It had been at first agreed that only boats with names beginning with letters from M to Z should start out as from February 26, with the A to L boats j delaying departure until March 5, but it was found that there would be a number of vacancies In the M to Z list so a drawing was con- Sj ducted by the board of control of jjjjbut up to yesterday no such boats The Armour Salvage Co. has had ten men at work during the past week in reconditioning of the steam trawler O. An Inspec tion of the vessel has been carried out by Albert Farrow, steamboat Inspector, who has been here from Vancouver for the past week. Capt Armour Is not committing himself as to what plans he may have for the Foster but. He is to be accompanied by Mrs. Nicholls and son and daughter and will be away for several months. Nrw Development Here One of the most Important developments of the past week was the official announcement, published in the Dally News yesterday, by R. E. Walker, one of the principals of Edmunds and Walker, well known Vancouver and New Westminster firm of fish exporters, that his company had virtually completed negotiations for the taking over of tlje plant on the local Government Wharf formerly occupied by the Shrubsall Fisheries where the com pany will open up headquarters for Its fish buying and handling activities In this port and district. The company, Mr. Walker let It be known, plans rather extensive activities hereabouts and it is understood may acquire other properties In the Immediate vicinity of Prince Rupert in connection with its plans for the mild curing of salmon. The company may also handle halibut from here and the large proportion of its output, It Is understood, will be shipped from Prince Rupert to Vancouver.
