On the Islands the prospectors have so far never received one cent help from either provincial or Dominion governments. There are many large low grade quartz propositions on the Islands that might ! have worked this summer but, with such a tax, they cannot. Inquiries from all parts of the British Empire are being received on the Islands regarding the gold possibilities. Swallows and humming birds have made a very early appearance on the Islands this year. It is also noticed that the robins are very scarce. TERRACE On Tuesday evening of last week Rev. Robert Conncll, Leader of the Opposition, and Ernest Bakewell, MLj. for Mackenzie, addressed a full house at the Oddfellows' Hall. Both were well received and listened to with marked attention. Last Friday a concert, arranged by Miss Jeanette Young, took place in the Oddfellows' Hall. Mrs. J. D.
