train
and
by
wagon
they
trekked
in,
built
log
cabins,
cleared
patches
of
land
and
planted
their
seeds.

was
they,
the
Heels,
the
Ir.n-eses,
the
Charlestons,
the
Bar
retts,
the
Sealys
and
others
who
laid
the
foundations
for
the
thriving
agricultural
district
that
is
the
Bulkley
Valley
today.
